Quitobaquito Springs
Lukeville, Arizona, United States

One of the only natural oases in the Sonoran Desert, Quitobaquito is home to some of the most rare and distinct species of fish in the world, as well as numerous species of birds. You can see the underground spring feeds the pond's crystal clear water if you take short and easy hike around the basin. The oasis sits only about 150 feet from the US-Mexico border, so the big rigs you see in the pictures are actually on Mexico's Federal Highway 2, which connects Sonoyta and San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora.
