Maryhill Stonehenge

Maryhill, Washington, United States

16 February, 2022

Completed in 1929, the Maryhill Stonehenge was the first World War I memorial monument to open in the United States. A stunning setting overlooking the Columbia River, the monument was modeled after the original Stonehenge in the United Kingdom. But more importantly, it cements in history the legacy of those brave Klickitat County soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice fighting for their country.
