Desert Storm Chasing

When you think of mammatus clouds, Tornado Alley is typically the first place that comes to mind...not the Nevada Desert. But Mother Nature once again proves that these storms can happen anywhere. This Central Nevada Storm tried very hard to become supercellular, but the atmospheric conditions were just not quite right to support supercells. Nonetheless, it was still one of the most photogenic monsoon storms I've ever seen. And the sight of mammatus never gets old, regardless of where you are.
