Day 5: Into the Gorge

As we make our way down river towards Phantom Ranch, the canyon constricts back into a gorge. We ran Hance Rapid, the biggest rapid on the Upper Canyon before camping near a place called "The Crematorium", where the canyon was lined with black rock. I don't think the temperature dropped much below 100 degrees that night.
