Desert to Tall Pines Scenic Byway

A stunning 74-mile drive from the east end of the Mogollon Rim Road down to Roosevelt Lake, the Desert to Tall Pines Scenic Byway passes through a vast array of ecosystems as you descend from 7,500 feet down to 2,500 feet. You will also pass through the town of Young, which seems to be frozen in time. For even more adventure, continue south from Roosevelt Lake on the Apache Trail through the Superstition Mountains to return to Phoenix.
