Famously known as the lowest, hottest, and driest spot in North America, Death Valley is truly an extreme environment, even in the dead of winter. Sitting at an elevation of 282 feet (85 meters) below sea level, temperatures have reached as high as 134°F (57°C) in the valley that averages 2.36 inches (60 mm) of rain per year. In addition, some scenes in the Star Wars series were filmed at Death Valley. Do you recognize any of them?
