2012 Spring Season Grand Finale

Numerous severe storms broke out across the Texas Panhandle and Western Oklahoma on the afternoon of May 30. I initially headed down towards southwestern Oklahoma to check out a Tornado-Warned supercell that was near Childress, TX but the photo opps were pretty poor so I headed back north to intercept a severe thunderstorm coming eastbound down Interstate 40 towards Oklahoma City. The pictures of that storm, taken just north of the town of Amber, came out much better (see the end of this set).
