Towering nearly 8,000 feet high and 200 miles across, the second largest haboob (large dust storm) to ever strike Arizona swallowed nearly one quarter of the state as it made its way from Phoenix across the deserts of both Arizona and Sonora, Mexico. And that's not all. It also hit parts of southern California and northern Baja before dissipating over the Pacific Ocean.
