To complete your Canadian Rockies adventure through Alberta, going through Banff is simply not enough. You've also gotta come to Jasper. Start you day taking the Jasper Skytram up Whistler Mountain and hiking the last kilometer to the 2,500 meter summit. At the summit, soak in the incredible 360-degree views of the Rockies, where you'll be able to see both Alberta and British Columbia, including the Canadian Rockies' highest peak - Mt. Robson - which is only visible about 20 days per year. Then, spend your afternoon touring and relaxing on the shores of Jasper's world-famous turquoise glacial lakes.
