The California side of Lake Tahoe is rugged, steep, and deep. Surrounded by the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada, the lake's depth drastically drops to over 2,000 feet just a stone's throw from the shoreline. This collection starts at Emerald Bay and runs north along the west shores of Lake Tahoe to the Nevada state line.
