Sitting on the US-Mexico border, Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument features some of the rarest cacti in the United States. Even in southern Arizona, winters prove to be too extreme for the highly cold-sensitive organ pipe cactus, making the monument the only place in the country it grows natively. Hop across the border into Mexico, however, and you will find them to be much more common.
