Preston Monument and Black Mesa
Kenton, Oklahoma, United States
29 June, 2012
The penultimate stop on the trip was at the Preston Monument (the triple point of Colorado, New Mexico, and Oklahoma), where we could stand in three states and two time zones at once (we were also in the only county in the US that borders four different states). We had some good laughs there. We then headed to beautiful Black Mesa State Park in the Oklahoma Panhandle, and even saw a petrified forest to boot. We took a brief detour through southern Kansas before returning to Norman.
