Western Oklahoma Dust Storm
Roger Mills County, Oklahoma, United States
18 March, 2014
A haboob (intense dust storm) that originated in northeastern New Mexico blew south into the Texas Panhandle and eventually into far Western Oklahoma. Visibilities did not become bad enough to impact driving, but were reduced to about 1/4 mile at times. The blowing dust eventually made it as far east as Oklahoma City. These photos were taken in the vicinity of the Antelope Hills. If you want to see the area without the dust storm, check out my Antelope Hills photos from last fall.
